Incorporating in Singapore

Sharing this not because Ghost is WordPress competitor but because more and more companies based around remote work are probably facing this same challenge.

On the other hand, as far as I know, most US businesses simply chose to ignore VATMOSS obligations?

Yes depending on who you ask you can call it "ignoring" or "avoiding taxes" :-) Don't get me wrong I think the current EU tax system (among other governmental things here) is _ridiculous_ and if I lived (and had my business) permanently outside the EU I'd probably do the same.
